With a capacity of 23,000 thoroughly covered places, the Dr. Magalhães Pessoa Municipal Stadium in Leiria was the last stadium to be built for EURO 2004. For this championship, a provisional bench with 5478 seats was built. It was the only EURO 2004 stadium that was built from scratch with an athletic track.
