FCM – Construções, S.A. (FCM) bases its Integrated Quality, Occupational Health & Safety and Environmental Policy on meeting the expectations of its Clients, Employees and Interested Parties. This commitment is reflected in the quality of the works and services delivered, the prevention of risks and the maintenance of safe and healthy working conditions, as well as the protection of the environment.

FCM’s activity is focused on providing specific solutions tailored to defined requirements and objectives, through an evolving and dynamic Integrated Management System.

FCM Commitments

Within the scope of its Integrated QHSE Management System, FCM is committed to:

  • Complying with all applicable legal and regulatory requirements related to quality, occupational health and safety, hygiene, and the environment;

  • Complying with the requirements of the following standards:

    • NP EN ISO 9001 – Quality Management Systems — Requirements;

    • NP EN ISO 45001 – Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems — Requirements with guidance for use;

    • NP EN ISO 14001 – Environmental Management Systems — Requirements with guidance for use;

  • Meeting client requirements and the expectations set out in contractual documents;

  • Integrating the general principles of prevention into the development of its processes and activities;

  • Planning the execution of works in order to prevent situations that may jeopardise the quality of the works, the occupational health and safety of employees, and the environment;

  • Carrying out all activities in accordance with professional best practices and high quality standards, ensuring accuracy and reliability of results and the confidentiality of data;

  • Promoting the training and awareness of employees so they acquire the competencies required to perform their assigned duties, and understand the relevance and importance of their actions within the system and how these contribute to achieving its objectives;

  • Ensuring communication and consultation with Employees within the scope provided by law, particularly regarding occupational health and safety;

  • Ensuring that the system is reviewed annually to promote the continuous improvement of its effectiveness, through the definition, monitoring and analysis of objectives, resulting in Top Management decisions regarding improvement actions.

  • Control risks associated with the company’s activities in order to reduce the likelihood of incidents;

  • Minimise the impact of physical, chemical and biological agents inherent to the activities on employees’ health;

  • Ensure working conditions that sustainably support adequate levels of productivity and employee satisfaction.

Environment

  • Minimise adverse environmental impacts arising from the company’s activities;

  • Mitigate the consequences of potential environmental accidents;

  • Improve environmental performance.
