Pedro Vara
CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER
Pedro Vara has a degree in Management and Postgraduate degree in Financial Analysis from the Instituto Superior de Economia e Gestão (ISEG) and is accredited as a European Financial Analyst CFA.
He has extensive experience in the financial field, starting his professional career in auditing at BDO. He transitioned to the Finance department at Teixeira Duarte, where he began his career in Engineering and Construction and Real Estate Funds. With international experience, he worked between 2010 and 2021 in the Algerian market as Chief Financial Officer for companies such as Pinto & Bentes, S.A. and Grupo Metalogalva. Between 2021 and 2024, he served as Director of Risk, Chief Financial Officer, and member of the Executive Committee at CBE – Engenharia e Telecomunicações, SA, for the Portuguese and Irish markets.
In April 2024, he assumed the role of CFO at the FCM Group. In addition to a remarkable track record in contract management, treasury management, and accounting, he has proven ability in managing and leading teams.

Influential and recognized executive of the sector, he accumulates vast experience and contributions achieved at national and international level.
At the end of the eighties he started to hold management positions in several of the main national companies in the Construction and Public Works sector, such as ENGIL in 1989, SOCONSTROI in 1993, SOMAGUE in 1998, HAGEN in 2007.
In the organizations in which he participated, he performed as an agent of change and dynamization of new and daring business strategies, driving their growth, performance and profitability.
Currently performs on the Executive Committee with responsibility for the Business Development of the FCM Group.
With a degree in Civil Engineering from Instituto Superior Técnico, he started his professional activity at the company MSF -Moniz da Maia, Serra and Fortunato.
