Pedro Plácido
Chief Executive Officer - CEO
Pedro Miguel Plácido has a degree in Civil Engineering from the Instituto Superior Técnico in Lisbon.
With more than 34 years` experience, he began his activity in construction in October 1989, at Teixeira Duarte - Engenharia e Construções, S.A., where he spent around 30 years until July 2019.
With relevant experience in engineering, company management and business development, he has held various positions over time, essentially in the field of infrastructure and public works - hospitals, motorways, dams, tunnels, bridges, viaducts, industrial, environmental, road, rail, maritime and building works, including refurbishment, some under design/build and/or sub-concessions, in multiple consortia and ACEs.
From being responsible for the technical management of contracts in the early years to managing various companies in the Teixeira Duarte Group, he has vast national and international experience, having worked in Portugal and in various African countries, namely Angola, Algeria and Mozambique, and in South America - Brazil and Venezuela.
In September 2021, he became CEO of the FCM Group, joining the Boards of Directors of SGPS and FCM - Construções, S.A., appointed for the four-year period 2022/2025, and chairing the Executive Committee.
Pedro Vara
CFO - Chief Financial Officer
Pedro Vara has a degree in Management and a Postgraduate Diploma in Financial Analysis from the Instituto Superior de Economia e Gestão (ISEG) and is a CFA European Chartered Financial Analyst.
He has extensive experience in finance, having started his professional career in auditing at BDO. As part of the Finance department, he began his career in the Engineering and Construction and Real Estate Funds sectors at Teixeira Duarte.
With international experience, between 2010 and 2021 he worked in the Algerian market as Finance Director for companies such as Pinto & Bentes, S.A. and Grupo Metalogalva.
Between 2021 and 2024, he was Chief Risk Officer, Chief Financial Officer and member of the Executive Committee at CBE - Engenharia e Telecomunicações, SA, for the Portuguese and Irish markets.
In April 2024, he took on the role of CFO, joining the Boards of Directors of SGPS and FCM - Construções, S.A., appointed for the four-year period 2022/2025, and being a member of the Executive Committee.
Francisco Pacheco
Chief Commercial Officer - CCO
Francisco Pacheco has a degree in Civil Engineering from the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Porto and a Master`s in Construction Management from South Bank University in London.
With over 35 years` professional experience in the sector and on 4 continents, he has worked with leading national and international companies, holding positions of high responsibility, leading multicultural and multidisciplinary teams in the realisation of various projects for major clients.
His career in the international area began at Soares da Costa, after which he joined Mota-Engil.
He has significant experience in different projects, such as public and private buildings, motorways, railways and water infrastructures, in various parts of the world.
In September 2024, he took on the role of CCO at the FCM Group, joining the Board of Directors of FCM Construções, S.A., appointed for the four-year period 2022/2025, and serving on the Executive Committee.
